Blane did a silhouette of our daughter through her daycare several years ago. Naturally, when it came time to have one done for our son at the same age, I sought her out online. I'm glad I did. While the daycare acted as a intermediary for her to complete my daughter's silhouette, Blane worked directly with me to create one for our son. She was easy to discuss the project with, receptive to requests for alterations, and extremely prompt with all over her responses. “Silhouettes by Blane” was established in 1987 in Richmond, Virginia, and has operated under my parent company, “Art a la Carte, LLC”, since 1997 - an artist referral service for “Art Made to Order” and an art education practice for all ages. My silhouette service has been my main ‘bread and butter’ (pardon the pun) for over 33 years!! I always enjoy meeting new people, and fulfilling their request for this unique and historical art form - a family heirloom and keepsake treasure!!
